Yleistä

 

Veli Himanen on julkaissut artikkeleita liikennepolitiikasta, arviointimenetelmistä, ympäristövaikutuksista ja kestävästä kehityksestä. Hän on toiminut seuraavien lehtien artikkeleiden arvioitsijana: Transportation Research, Global Environmental Change ja International Journal of Sustainable Development and World Ecology. Hän toimii myös toimituksen asiantuntijajäsenenä lehdissä: Journal of Advanced Transportation ja European Journal of Transport and Infrastructure Research. Himasella on laaja kansallinen ja kansainvälinen kokemus ohjelmien ja hankkeiden, ml. telematiikan, arvioinnissa, liikennepolitiikassa, liikenteen tulevaisuuden tutkimuksessa, ympäristövaikutusten arvioinnissa sekä kestävän kehityksen ja turvallisuuden määrittelyssä. Viime vuosina hän on tutkinut erityisesti teknologian suhdetta älykkyyteen ja viisauteen.
